Mirror Dory
|
Zeiformes is an order of marine ray finned fishes and are mostly found as deep-sea types. Their bodies are usually thin and deep with distensible jaws - meaning it can be easily stretched or extended. These species can range from 1.7 inches to 35 inches.
The mirror dory has a bright, scaleless, and uniform silver body that mimics that of a mirror - hence the given name. |
